Powerful Loving Communication
Historically I have a soft spoken voice and people say, "What?" to me a lot or, "Sorry, speak up." I would then have to repeat myself up to three times to be heard. I felt as though I was talking but there was an invisible barrier between my voice and the recipient's ears. What was this? I didn't feel like it was me, but that people were deaf or "in their own world".

Much later I have discovered that this is a chakra problem. I learned with much inner work and Reiki healings that the reason my throat chakra was blocked partially came from childhood. I was often "seen but not heard". I eventually just stopped talking all together. I would only say something when asked a direct question. This was also a problem with my heart chakra and solar plexus. Solar Plexus was blocked because I was "disempowered" and my heart was blocked too because I didn't "trust" that I would be heard. Complex, but fixable.

I also degraded into speaking out of anger and frusteration to people and wondered why I would get such a cold reception from folks. I could cut someone in half with my angry tongue. Actually what I was doing was venting my rage and anger at "not being heard" on anyone around me. It had to get out somehow right?

Here is a good exercise on clearing out your throat chakra:

Sit comfortably with your back straight. Take a deep breath and exhale, let go of your day and stress. Again big deep breathe in and out. One more time big breathe in and out. Now you are relaxed, open and ready to do some chakra work!

I want you to imagine a beautiful sunny day. Go outside and look up at the cloudless sky. Take note of the beautiful turquoise color. Take note of how free and warm the wind and air around you is. You can be this free too. Now breathe in deep the turquoise sky and exhale black. Breathe in again loving communication and exhale, ego, lies, anger and deceit. One more time breathe in turquoise sky and exhale all negatives surrounding communication. Now I want you to take a big deep turquoise breathe in and sing out one sound, "EH", let it out long and slow. The sound is like in the word "feather". Again in turquoise breath and out the sound of EH long and slow. One more time in turquoise and out the sound of the 5th chakra EH long and slow.

Look in the mirror and repeat this mantra: "I will communicate with LOVE and COMPASSION to my receiver. I will do no HARM with my words." Say this two more times to yourself like you mean it. Repeat whole exercise daily and you should see marked improvement in your ability to communicate effectively with others!
